Turbonegro to headline Desertfest 2017

By James Davenport

Pete Green has announced that the Norwegian (mostly) Deathpunk pioneers, Turbonegro will be headlining next years Desertfest in Camden, London.

Although the festival normally plays host to Stoner Rock / Doom bands, the people behind Desertfest have explained their choice of headliner via their website.

“Here at Desertfest HQ we love to keep it fresh, change it up and challenge the boundaries and limitations that modern day’s genre-baiting, pigeonholing bullshitters sometimes lay down.”

Despite tickets being available now, there’s already been a sell out warning issued due to Turbo’s cult fan base, the Turbojugend.

“You might want to get your tickets in early before the Turbojugend’s faithful fan base buy up every square inch of Camden this coming April because Turbonegro are coming to the party. And WHAT a party this will be.”
