Respite Compilation for victims of Typhoon Haiyan

By David Burd

In November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan tore across the central islands of the Philippine archipelago. It was the strongest storm recorded at landfall and to date has killed at least 5,000 people in the Philippines alone. For the people left behind, the devastation has been a difficult one to bear. People are still left without food, water or a roof over their heads. Aid is getting through, but the situation is such that regeneration of the worst affected areas will take time.

The Respite compilation was made to help raise money for the relief efforts of the DEC – Disaster Emergencies Committee. It features 27 tracks by bands from across the UK and one in Canada.  The compilation is available to download for a minimum £1 donation, with the option to donate as much as you want. You can check out the track-listing below and head to the site here.
