PACER will support Bouncing Souls in the EU/UK this summer. The words are better spoken from the guys themselves, so here’s the statement from their blog:
“So we had dropped a few hints here and there regarding our summer plans and finally we can announce that for a few weeks in August we are going to be out supporting the Bouncing Souls, first in the UK then over in Europe.
The first is at the O2 Academy on 2nd August where the souls will be playing S/T and Hopeless Romantic (The 16 year old inside my brain just totally lost his shit). Then on the 3rd August Dave will be playing a set supporting the Souls playing How I spent my summer vacation and Anchors Aweigh. Before heading over to Europe for a few shows we will be supporting Polar Bear Club and Man Overboard at the Bowery in London (which is tiny, get your tickets quick) on 6th August. Then it’s off to Europe for a show in Stuttgart and a few in Vienna.
As you may have heard we parted ways with our bassist Mike last month so stepping in to briefly fill his place will be John from the Don Ramos Players. We all go back a long way (John played in the Dave House Band with Dave and Chris and was also the Steal’s go to guy when we need a second guitarist) so we are exited to be bringing him along. He also looks a little like Dave so there is going to be some good onstage symmetry which is always key to a good performance.
In terms of other shows this is going to be it for a while as we are all moving around a bit over the next few months however we would like to play some more UK/Europe shows around the dates above so if you would like us to play a show on the off days let us know – wearepacer@googlemail.com.
The main dates we are after are (1st,4th,5th August in the UK and 7th,11th,12th August in France/Germany
In other quite exciting news for the past month we have been looked in a Brixton basement thrashing out an albums worth of songs so will be playing some new stuff at the next few shows.
