Mest cancel 2 US shows

Popular US punkers Mest have been forced to cancel two of their US shows – for differing reasons.

Firstly, their show last night at Austin, Texas’ Emo’s club, was axed when Nick, the drummer of Mest, was arrested after having open alcohol in front of a venue after a show.

In a statement a spokesman for the band said: “The rest of the band is very sorry that they can’t make it to the show and they want you to know that it is Nick’s fault.

“Please keep your tickets to the show and they will be honored on a make up date.”

The band have also been forced to cancel tomorrow nights gig in Las Vegas after a 18-year-old fan died in a car crash on his way home from a Mest gig.

The band released this statement: “Christopher Michael McNair, born March 27th 1984, passed away Sunday April 21st 2002 in a car accident leaving a Mest concert.

“Matt and Tony Lovato have decided to cancel the show on 4/24 in Las Vagas to attend his wake in Houston, TX.

Mest, their road crew, and all of us here at mestcrapp.com would like to send out our love and prayers to his family.”
