Jon Jones & The Beatnik Movement share ‘No Brainer’

By James Davenport

Jon Jones & The Beatnik Movement are recently reformed DIY stalwarts from Bradford who describe themselves as “80’s Matchbox meets QOTSA with naughty hints of The Cramps and Killing Joke thrown in for good measure

They have just shared their contribution to the CPWM 7″ singles club in the form of ‘No Brainer’ that will be accompanying new Leeds band, Magic Mountain’s (Featuring members of Pulled Apart By Horses, Menace Beach, Sky Larkin, Grammatics & more) single ‘Zodiac’.

“‘No Brainer’ is a song we’ve been messing around with for a few years now but was written during a bit of a mad time in our lives… I think the front cover we chose represents that time pretty well. I’m sure it represents a lot of young Bradfordian life at that time to be honest… Silly bastards.” states Joe.
