Black Flag unveil first album in 28 years

By Ben Tipple

After having his motion for preliminary injunction denied in regard to rights over the Black Flag name and logo, Greg Ginn is preparing to shake it off with the release of the band’s seventh full-length, and their first since 1985’s ‘In My Head’.

Entitled ‘What The’, the new album is set for a November 5th release. The current encarnation of Black Flag includes Ginn alongside vocalist Ron Reyes who fronted the band between 1979 and 1980, Screeching Weasel’s Dave Klein on bass and drummer Gregory Moore.

The court case against Henry Rollins and FLAG – featuring former Black Flag members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Dez Cadena and Bill Stevenson (alongside new member Stephen Egerton) – remains ongoing.
