Avenged Sevenfold are on the cusp of grabbing their first number 1 slot in the UK album charts. ‘Hail To The King’ is currently approximately 3000 sales ahead of the potential number 2 by Naughty Boy.
Only a few alternative bands bag the top slot. They have managed to get close in the past – most notable when their previous record ‘Nightmare’ hit number 5.
The official album chart will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
