SHIT THE BUS!

I'm currently listening to this for the fourth time, and my I only started this morning. But at just 17 minutes in length, it demands it. The first time crushed my ears and spat them out before Id had a chance to think about it.

As I see it, theres two stages to Bright Grey. And they are in equal, seven song parts. Part one is kicks off as a fucking AMAZING hardcore record. One of, if not THE best this year.

Then "Repeat" starts.
This, as they say, is what separates the men from the boys.

When I attempted to start a band, Lindsay wrote some guitar parts and described them as "The Steals evil twin." The Steal just became that twin. "Repeat" is dark and moody, and has what separates the likes of Paint It Black from the rest.

From here on in, Bright Grey goes from being an AMAZING hardcore record to a SEMINAL hardcore record, and its not even fucking out yet.

It's quite hard to take these songs out of context as you don't get a feel for the whole thing..anyhow there's some songs!

Seminal is the word.

this is the best hardcore album a have ever heard... in my opinion.

but then the steal are the band that got me into hardcore,
the first hardcore album i ever bought and the first hardcore show i ever went to.

so this may be very biased!

nut yeah. amazing!

the fugazi bit is rad!

They're not giving away any promo copies, so everyone's gonna have to wait until they come through. Ahh!

in true hardcore style the LP is LAAAAAAAATE due to fuck ups with the colour of the vinyl (not what we wanted) so if you ordered both you might get yours a little bit later. I'm not sure if they'll be back for the release show in Kingston but maybe by Brighton on the 29th!

My copy turned up today, it made me very happy indeed. Awesome stuff, I plan on listening to all 16.9 minutes (as itunes describes it) of it many, many times before Wednesday's gig.

So yeah, fantastic album.
