PT band of the week: Attack! Attack!
Here at Punktastic.com, we want to share with our readers some of the bands we’re into at the moment. Thus we bring you,
Punktastic’s Band of the Week!
THIS WEEK:
Attack! Attack!
Slow on the uptake, I only discovered
Attack! Attack! last weekend at Reading Festival by recommendation from The Blackout boys. I fell in love with them so quickly, I wanted to feature them as Punktastic’s Band of The Week.
Formed from the ashes of some of the best UK bands we’ve seen in recent years, (see Dopamine, Adequate 7& Midasuno), Attack! Attack! already have a wealth of experience under theirs belts. Experience that has defininitely served them well.
In the last year or so they’ve hit the road with Ghost of a Thousand, Kids in Glass Houses, Lostprophets and Aiden. Oh, and they played a couple of small festivals in Reading & Leeds a week or so back, too.
Granted, the Internet and the Ipods of the people I’ve come across in the last week have only provided me with a handful of songs to hear, but you don’t need much more than a quick listen to their upcoming single, ‘This is a Test’ to just
know they’re going to produce a blinding debut album. They’ve drafter LostProphets bassist Stuart Richardson in to produce it too, so I’m expecting bright guitars, massive hooks and crowd singalongs a plenty.
Steadily getting their name on bigger and bigger tours, catch them supporting Funeral For a Friend this October up and down the country and pick up the self-titled release soon after. I know I will be.
