Punktastic 2010 Compilation
At the end of this year, Punktastic will be releasing a compilation stuffed full of our favourite bands and labels.We know what you're thinking - "what's so special about this, then?" and the answer is this:
The (soon to be named) compilation will be released in the form of beautifully designed "Oyster Card" wallets. If you're unfamiliar on account of country bumpkin-ness, then here's a patronising rundown - "Oyster Card" wallets are wonderful slimline PVC houses for the cards that are only true way to get around our smelly grey metropolis without busting the bank (bicycles don't count). But don't let not having an Oyster put you off - it'll be a great card/card holder for anyone!
It's going to be a strictly limited physical release on Tom's Two Tick imprint - each wallet comes with a poster and a hand-numbered download card with a unique code that allows you to access the songs, and also to acess a special area of Punktastic with bonus content!
We're not going to reveal all the bands at once, but we'll be doing a spotlight on each and every one as we head towards release, and you can see a taster of what's on offer below. For now we can tell you that our good friends at Walnut Tree Records, Big Scary Monsters Records, and Alcopop! Records have all chipped in with content - and some very special additions have been collected alongside.
If you're in a band and want to take part in the this compilation, we're giving you the chance in a very simple way! All you need to do is send your mp3's (or a streaming link) to tom.aylott@punktastic.com with the title "Listen to this, this is good" and we'll have a listen. Ideally we want unreleased music, so have a dig around for a hidden treasure!
