Friends from all over the country and the world converged on San Diego for a wild weekend of music, beer, burritos, whiskey, and pizza. The eleventh annual installment of the DIY punk and pop punk festival known as Awesome Fest had its Wednesday 13 December 2017 Awesome Fest 11 announces additional bands The Awesome Fest 11 gang of six today announced another group of bands that will perform at the three-day festival, 16-18 February, 2018 in San Diego. This announcement coincides with the end of early bird ticket pricing. Bands added include Dead To Me, Fleshies, Toys That Kill, Bad Cop/Bad Wednesday 14 June 2017 Melted, DFMK, Caskitt, & Surprise Vacation @ Parks and Rock, Anaheim, California Kick-ass band Melted hails from California’s Inland Empire town of Corona. They’ve been kicking around for nearly four years, but had their “coming out party” of sorts at Awesomefest 10 last September. It was their introduction for a lot of people, and they instantly became a favorite of many. Monday 22 May 2017 Western Settings, DFMK, Se Vende, & The Waste Aways @ Tower Bar, San Diego Every May, bands head out from their hometowns and head to Montreal for the annual Pouzza Fest. Some bands just fly in and out, while others make a tour of it. Western Settings decided to take a week to get there and another coming back, so a send off Tuesday 24 January 2017 La Escalera Fest 6 announces line up La Escalera Records have announced the line up for La Escalera Fest 6. The punk/indie fest will take place in San Diego, CA in the U.S. and Tijuana, Mexico from the 14th to the 16th April. It will mark the sixth anniversary for the record label. The full line up is Wednesday 31 August 2016 Pears, Direct Hit!, DMFK, Pissed Regardless @ Soda Bar, San Diego After avoiding San Diego for nearly a year, Pears visited town twice in a two month period, and that’s reason to celebrate! The band gets tighter and stronger with every show. Touring incessantly will do that.
