Zalinski

ImageWith hooky songs born out of live sessions, Zalinski's music is a groove laden rock out - a manifestation of their punk sensibilities and a love of Blues & Soul. After spending much of his 24 year exsistence contemplating a life of music, singer-songwriter Bows moved to London to find musicians who shared his passion for an array of music. Soon after arriving, Bows found Mark and Karl through Myspace and Gumtree adverts. After being given the opportunity to headline a charity festival in Camden only 48 hours after a first rehearsal, their collective fondness of adventure and curiosity led them to the deep end. Upon throwing themselves in, they were received well by a full house. Despite playing a gig just hours after meeting, solidifying the bands inception, it wouldn't be until a few weeks later when Sam joined the line up, that they officially became 'Zalinski'. Over the next several weeks the band hit the rehearsal rooms and were soon armed with dozens of new songs and a new, rawer, high energy sound. In March 2008, Zalinski retreated to Wales to record their first demo at Sonic One Studios. On their return to London, the band threw themselves into a steady stream of gigs, playing venues such as ’Tommy Flynns’ and the ‘Purple Turtle’. In May 2008 Zalinski were asked to headline ‘Nambucca’ in Islington and shortly after played the legendary ‘Clapham Grand’. During a second studio session in November ‘08 the band produced 6 new tracks. Combining the 4 they had recorded previously, Zalinski completed their first self funded LP. In January ’09, ‘This too shall pass’ was released on i-Tunes. The band continue to write and gig in the London and Hertfordshire area, and the fanbase continues to grow …..…
