The Union Jacks
“The Union Jacks” first came together in the summer of 2006. Four friends who were determined to make it in the music world, though young they have the charisma and the ‘on-stage personality’ of musicians twice their age. From then on their journey has been like an unstoppable snowball of writing performing and perfecting their own music, which will only get better.
What a year it’s been for band so far – and it looks to get even better! On the 27th and 29th of February 2008, the band recorded their first single, “Solitude Doesn’t Help” and the popular track “Space Invaders”, at “Leeders Farm”, Co-owned by ex “The Darkness” lead guitarist “Dan Hawkins”. One month later, the band was on stage at “The Waterfront” – one of Norwich’s most popular show venues, owned by the UEA. In October of this year, the band will be jetting off on tour, to Barcelona.
