D.R.I.

D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) are considered to be the fathers of the "crossover" genre, along with bands like Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Faith No More and Corrosion of Conformity. By the time D.R.I. had their first album, 1983's Dirty Rotten LP, they were once a hardcore punk band in their early days. They coined the "crossover" genre from its 1987 album with the same title. The group became a crossover thrash band ever since until they had their last album, Full Speed Ahead, in 1995. D.R.I. have not released any new albums ever since, but they had been touring every year lately.
