Just Panic – Stand Up Straight In The Line Of Fire

By paul

Southport-based folk punkers Just Panic aren’t that bad. They just don’t really do all that for me either. The guitars are all too often coated in the same fuzzy distortion and I can’t say I’m that much of a fan of the type of folk music they infuse in tracks such as ‘If The Sea Rolls In’. It’s not bad at all, it’s just not the type of music I choose to listen to in my spare time. That said, these Scouse punks clearly know how to write a tune and there are a few here that have catchy choruses – even if the vocal intro to ‘We Apologise…’ is more American sounding than if a Yank was actually handling vocal duties!

Overall this isn’t bad and is worth checking out, but it’s not really my thing.
