Celeb Car Crash – ‘People Are The Best Show’

By Emma Greveson

Influenced by grunge and alternative rock, ‘People Are The Best Show’ is Celeb Car Crash’s second studio album. First single ‘Let Me In’, with its filthy guitars and Michelangelo Naldini’s dynamic drumming, is a perfect opening to a hard-hitting rock record.

‘Outdone’ is an absolute belter of a track; the electric guitars and drums get the adrenaline pumping and the head banging in full swing. With the perfect tempo, crunching guitars, melodic vocals and pure emotion, it’s exactly what’s needed in a solid rock track, making ‘Outdone’ one of the strongest songs on the record.

Despite its heavy title, ‘Hanging on a Rope’ delivers guitar riff heaven with its focus on Briganti and Morini’s guitar playing skills. Briganti’s melodic vocal lines combine with his aggressive and husky delivery, helping to portray emotion through his voice throughout the record.

This album is a great representation of rock in today’s music industry, however there isn’t much variety with most tracks focusing on heavy material. It would be nice to hear a different side to the band, focusing more on Briganti’s vocals. Although ‘Enemies Desire’ and ‘Nearly In Bloom’ experiment with slower tempos, the band would benefit from more of this variation.

‘People Are The Best Show’ will not disappoint Celeb Car Crash’s current fanbase and will be sure to bring in new fans with its grungy, passionate and emotional songs that deliver a true sense of modern rock music.
